Fluorescent dye derived from trimethine cyanine with an intrinsic single positive charge. Water insoluble and forms reversible disulfide bond with sulfhydryl groups at pH up to 6.5.

Store in the dark at -20°C and keep under argon.

Features:
Due to its extreme selectivity, the amine-cross labeling is avoided. The pyridyl disulfide bond can be cleavaged by TCEP (tris-(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine hydrochloride) and DTT (1,4-dithiothreitol).
