Phosphatidic acid (PA) is a major component of cell membranes with important biophysical, metabolic, and signaling roles. PA has been implicated in many aspects of animal cell biochemistry and physiology, including cell proliferation and differentiation, cell transformation, tumor progression and survival signaling. Biotin is attached at the sn-1 position and can be bound to streptavidin-coated surfaces such as plates or beads.
