1-palmitoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-theronine (16:0 LysoPThr) is a form of lysophosphatidylthreonine (LPT), a rare lipid which is a strong inducer of mast-cell degranulation, though specific receptors have not been found for it yet. Lysophospholipids are lipid mediators which elicit a diverse array of cellular responses through activation of phospholipid specific G protein-coupled receptors.
