Description: | Coronavirus Spike glycoproteins mediate the virus attachment to host cell surface receptors and facilitate the virus entry by assisting fusion between viral and host cell membranes. They are composed of two subunits, S1 and S2. The Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 harbors furin cleavage sites, one being located at the boundary between S1 and S2. Spike glycoproteins are extensively studied as targets for antibodies, vaccine candidates or protease inhibitors, as examples. We developed a peptide library spanning the entire Spike glycoprotein from SARS-CoV-2. The library is provided in a convenient 96-well plate format adapted for screening purposes. |
