Ac-VEID-AMC is a fluorogenic substrate for caspase 6 (Mch-2α), a member of the cysteine-aspartate protease family, which play a central role in the execution-phase of apoptosis. The excitation/emission maximum of AMC is 340-360/440-460 nm, respectively. Ac-VEID-AMC is based on lamin A site of cleavage.
