Secreted bymacrophages, epithelial cells, neutrophils and melanomas, GROalpha signals through chemokine receptor, CXCR2, and has beenimplicated in the processes of spinal cord formation,inflammation, angiogenesis, turmorigenesis , and wound healing.Recombinant mouse GRO-alpha is a non-glycosylated protein,containing 72 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 7.8 kDa.
