Biological Activity

GHB receptor ligand. Exhibits similar receptor afffinity as GHB (IC₅₀ for displacement of ³[H]NCS-382 from GHB receptors is 38 μM compared with 25 μM for GHB). Demonstrates no significant affinity for GABA_B receptors and does not exhibit GHB-like behavioral effects in vivo.
