High affinity inhibitor of KDO 8-P synthase (Ki = 26 nM). Also inhibits dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1). Exhibits antiangiogenic and antiviral activity in vitro. Putative antibiotic against gram-negative bacteria.
