1.Duringthegrowthphase
invivo,xenograftedtissueisvascularizedandinfiltratedbycellsofmouseorigin,includingheterogeneouslymphocytesubpopulations,fibroblasts,andendothelialcells.Thelevelofinfiltrationishighlydependentonmultiplefactorsliketumorsubtype,growthrate,andregionoftransplantation.However,evenwhenthesefactorsarekeptconstant,theamountandcompositionofinfiltratingmousecellsarehighlyvariable,whichmakesaccuratemoleculardownstreamanalysesdifficult.Thecontaminatingmousecellsleadtocross-hybridizationofmouse-derivedmoleculestohumanprobesonmicroarraysandasignificantreductionofsensitivitycausedbymeasurementofmousesignalsduringnext-generationsequencingorproteomeanalysis
