TheCytoCaptureS500-100,LCAproductsaredesignedforcellbasedassaysandhighresolutionlifecellimagingofcellspheroids.Auniformarrayofsquaretypepolymercavitieslaysontopofthecoverglassbottomsofthesespecializedcellcultureandimagingconsumables.Individualcavitieshaveadistancefromsurroundingwalltowallof500µm.ThewallthicknessIs15µm.HeightofthewallsIs100µm.Thewallsofthecavitieserrectstraightuprightfromthebottom(F-shape).Seededcellssedimentspontaneouslyinsidethemicrocavities.ThemicrocavitiesarecoatedwithaLowCellAdhesion(LCA)surface.Thegeometryofthecavitiesallowsgroupsofcellstoenter.Becausecelladhesiontothesurfacesissuppressedthecellsformspontaneouslyspheroids.Withinthesecavitiesthespheroidsareprotectedfromgeneralfluidconvectionwithinthecellcultureconsumable.Themicrocavitiesallowthatthespheroidscanbetrackedoverdayswithoutmajorchangeoftheirposition.Themicrocavitiesallowalsoabettersizecontrolandhomogenoussizedistributionofthespheroids.
