Syntide 2 is a synthetic peptide recognized as a substrate by Ca²⁺ calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II and Ca²⁺ phospholipid-dependent protein kinase (PKC). The sequence is homologous to phosphorylation site 2 on glycogen synthase. Syntide 2 has been used as a probe to assay localization of CaMKII activity and to study the effects of point mutations on phosphorylation activity.
